Berks United Fundraising
We are doing a some fundraising for the team. All procedes will go into the Berks United bank account and will be used for such things as the Can-Am tournament that we are hosting next spring, as well as field fees, uniforms and other team costs. The more we sell the less we have to pay!

On Sat. we faced off against Germania for the second time this season. The guys knew it was time for revenge. We ended up with only one sub and it seemed like Germania had 20+ players. They run at us all game because they had the legs to do it. We started off the game well, controlling the ball and making them chase. We got a few early chances and then finally capitalized in the firest half. We dominated the game and they had maybe 1 or 2 shots on target if they were lucky. In the end the final score was 5-0, but it certainly could have been more! There keeper had some great saves and we had a number of near misses. In the second half Larry unloaded a blazing shot to the upper left corner that unfortunately didn't find the back of the net. Plus, Angelo got in the way of a shot from (I think) Nazar. Angelo made up for it by putting a couple between the posts himself. Anyway, it was a great game. What won it for us was using short passes and possessing the ball. If we keep that up we should do well against anyone. Great job guys! |
